About Me

Hi, I’m Sofia, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a certified somatic yoga teacher and nervous system wellness coach, and I created SomaticYogaFlow.com to help women reconnect with their bodies through gentle, mindful movement. My hope is that this space feels like a calm, supportive resource where you can learn practical ways to reduce stress, build resilience, and develop a kinder relationship with yourself.

My journey into somatic yoga began during a season of chronic stress and burnout. Like many people, I spent years pushing through exhaustion, believing that slowing down meant falling behind. I often felt disconnected from my body, caught in a cycle of tension, overwhelm, and constant doing. Traditional approaches to exercise left me feeling even more depleted because what I truly needed wasn’t to push harder—it was to listen more closely.

Everything began to shift when I discovered somatic yoga. Instead of focusing on perfect poses or performance, I learned to pay attention to subtle sensations, gentle movement, and the signals my nervous system had been trying to send me all along. For the first time in a long time, I experienced movement as something restorative rather than demanding. That simple change transformed not only how I moved, but also how I managed stress, rested, and cared for myself each day.

Inspired by that experience, I chose to deepen my knowledge through professional training and became a certified somatic yoga teacher and nervous system wellness coach. My work combines mindful movement, breath awareness, and nervous system education to help women cultivate greater ease, presence, and self-awareness. I believe that healing doesn’t have to be forceful or complicated. Often, the smallest, gentlest practices can create meaningful and lasting change.

Everything I share on this website is guided by the belief that your body is not something to fight against, but something to understand with curiosity and compassion. Whether you’re navigating everyday stress, recovering from burnout, or simply looking for a more mindful way to move, my goal is to offer practical, accessible resources that support your unique journey.

My own daily practice is intentionally simple. I make time for gentle somatic movement, mindful breathing, quiet moments of reflection, and regular check-ins with my body throughout the day. These small rituals help me stay grounded, regulate my nervous system, and remind me that wellness is built through consistency rather than perfection. I continue to learn from my own practice every day, and that ongoing experience shapes everything I teach.

Thank you for visiting SomaticYogaFlow.com. I invite you to explore the articles, practices, and resources throughout the site, and I hope they help you reconnect with your body, move with greater ease, and discover a calmer, more balanced way of living.
